ASIC Information Sheets for Insolvency
In the following information sheets, Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) provides information for directors, employees, creditors and shareholders affected by a company’s insolvency.

The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission provides particular guidance to consumers on the impact of a company's insolvency on their rights.

Fair Work Ombudsman

The Australian Government Fair Work Ombudsman provide guidance to employees regarding ending their employment, including in the case of insolvency of an employer.  The website also includes tools that employees may find useful, including a Notice and Redundancy Calculator.

Department of Employment and Workplace Relations

The Australian Government Department of Employment and Workplace Relations administers the Fair Entitlement Guarantee Scheme (refer below).  It also provides resources to support individuals seeking employment.

Fair Entitlement Guarantee

The Australian Government Fair Entitlement Guarantee (FEG) is a safety net scheme of last resort that provides financial assistance for eligible employees to pay certain outstanding employee entitlements where an employer enters liquidation or bankruptcy.
